As part of the decision of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu on the formation of a permanent group of the Navy of Russia in the Mediterranean, as well as for working out joint actions fleets in the region sent a detachment of Pacific Fleet ships.
Currently unit consisting of large anti-submarine ship «Admiral Panteleyev» large landing ships «Relight» and «Admiral Nevel» tanker «Pechenga» and salvage tug «Photius Krylov» left the South China Sea and continues to move in the direction of the Suez Canal.
Migration Plan provides visits ships in foreign ports in order to resupply and rest hours of crews.
