Detachment of Pacific Fleet (PF), the next to Vladivostok from the Gulf of Aden, where the task is executed for the protection of civilian shipping, after a 6-day stay in Malaysia on Saturday left the waters of Langkawi Island and sluggish course to their home base — the port of Vladivostok.

During a visit to Malaysia Pacific Fleet took part in the international exhibition of arms and military equipment «Lima-2013», as well as a round table discussion on maritime security in the Malacca Strait and in the conference on the protection of coastal states in Asia.

Eighth Pacific Fleet detachment consisting of large anti-submarine ship «Marshal Shaposhnikov» tanker «Irkut» and salvage tug «Alatau» left Vladivostok in early November 2012. Under the command of Rear-Admiral Vladimir Vdovenko he headed the Indian Ocean to combat service.

From December to March 4 squad participated in the international anti-piracy operations. On the way to Russia squad March 25 went to Malaysian island of Langkawi, which hosted the XII international exhibition of arms and military equipment, «Lima-2013.» After the visit on March 30 Russian ships headed for Vladivostok. On the way to home-based squad Pacific Fleet from 14 to 18 April, will go to the South Korean port of Busan. The arrival of the detachment to Vladivostok scheduled for the end of this month.
