Power industry of the Far East do not have enough capacity

The representatives of «FEEMC» took part in the round table «The dialogue in the search for cooperation in the field of energy efficiency and smart urban infrastructure.»

Was organized by the Russian Energy Agency (REA) and the National Agency of Natural Resources and Energy of Japan (Agency of Natural Resources and Energy of Japan — ANRE).

The report of the Deputy Director for Investments, «FEEMC» Dmitry Timofeev «The prospects of Japanese companies in the energy development of the Far East» analyzed the possibility of cooperation of Russian energy and Japanese manufacturers of power equipment and software solutions in the different regions of DFO.

In particular, the case of two «green» projects on construction of multifunctional energy complex in the Tixi Ortho and para-Balagan (Republic of Sakha, Yakutia) were examined using Japanese versions of effective technological solutions for solar panels and wind turbines operating in cold climates.

The company already has experience working with a Japanese company in the implementation of projects of small and distributed power: it is a gas turbine plant (GTP) «Kawasaki» acquired OAO «FEEMC» as the main generating equipment for mini-CHP «Central» and CHP «Aquarium».

According to Dmitry Timofeev, «4 years ago, when designing CHP Japanese equipment was selected from a large number of existing analogues as the most efficient, and high standards of reliability of power supply. In isolated power center where the concept of distributed energy is the best solution in terms of cost and in terms of its service, the overall efficiency of such systems, including electrical and thermal component, is quite high. In this mini-CHP is not just economical, reliable, environmentally friendly, but also easy to use thanks to the automatic control from a remote location, allowing the user to operate facilities. The use of such equipment in the construction of new power, of course, contribute to the development of energy in the Russian regions, primarily in the Far East. »

At the same time, however, Japanese companies wary of power engineering approach to projects and small distributed power in the Far East. While the implementation of these projects are most commonly used solar panels from China and used wind turbines in Europe.
