Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor) plans in 2013 to overhaul the federal roads totaling 9000 kilometers.
This is more than one and a half times the amount of capital repairs of roads in the past year. Such data led reporters Head Office Roman Starovoit , RBC reports.
Also, the head of the Federal Road Agency has noted that in 2013 will be put into operation 17 bridges and 87 set of traffic lights and pedestrian 36.3 km fence. In the Moscow transport hub planned reconstruction of highways M-29 M-5 M-7 the roads, «Lena», «Kolyma» and «Sortavala» and the construction of a tunnel on the highway A-164 «Transkei».
For 2012 the number of accidents on federal roads of Russia decreased by 9.1% compared to the previous year.
The number of deaths compared to 2011 decreased by 3.4%, and the wounded — by 7%. According Starovoitova, it happened as a result of measures aimed at improving safety on federal roads. Last year, 461 were built line lighting, 21 overhead pedestrian crossing 566.7 m noise screens, installed 89 traffic lights.
