General Staff of the Russian Defense Ministry has counted almost 250000 young people evaded in 2012 from military service in the Russian army. On Tuesday, March 5 RIA Novosti reported with reference to the representative of the General Staff.
The report notes that 236000 Russians escaped from military offices and have not received the summons. Another nine thousand people have received the agenda, but the recruiting stations were not. In this case, an unnamed source said the agency that lists the latest soon to be published in several media.
Now before the State Duma a bill that introduces various penalties for evaders. In the case of adoption of this law deviators can not apply for the civil service. In addition, there have been proposals to ban them from working in law enforcement and in municipal positions.
Authors of the bill also expect to do military service more attractive, giving the Russians have served to receive preferential grants paid education, including abroad.
By decree of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, in the spring of 2012 the Army planned to call 155000 people. In the autumn conscription ranks of the Russian armed forces were to fill up about 140 thousand people. According to RBC, the plan failed: the service for the year 2012 called for nearly 300000 people.
