One of them, a graduate of the University, has developed a scheme to crime. He has produced the so-called skimmer — a miniature device for reading information from a payment card, which consists of a pad mounted to the ATM card reader, and a disguised camera, aimed at the keyboard input.
Obtaining confidential information from the magnetic strip and PIN-code, helpers make a duplicate and adapt it to the desired model of the ATM. Thus, the criminals kidnapped up to 500 to 100 thousand rubles.
