Investigation Division of the OP № 5 MOI of Russia in Vladivostok criminal case against the young man who stole from the apartment of his aunt.
A resident of Vladivostok in the afternoon returned to her apartment, but out of habit the door is not closed. About 17 hours she felt a strong draft in the apartment went out into the corridor, she found on the floor of men\’s shoes footprints leading to the pedestal on which lay her handbag with documents and money. Personal belongings were missing, and the door was opened wide open. Realizing that the woman was robbed, she called the police.
A few days later on suspicion of the theft was arrested a young resident of Vladivostok, has been repeatedly convicted of similar crimes. It appeared to be the nephew of the victim, a drug addict with a record.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the young man needed the money for the purchase of a narcotic substance, where to get the money he did not know. Passing by the house of his aunt, and, knowing that sometimes it does not close the door, he decided to try to steal her bag. The door to the entrance of the house is equipped with a combination lock, but for convenience, the tenants entrance specially propped it up and it is open during the day. The thief knew about it, so to get to the entrance for him was not difficult. Pulling the handle on the familiar door, he quietly entered the hall and stole handbags. The aunt was busy household chores, so did not hear anything. Cash he spent on their own needs, and documents through her friends gave the victim, because he knows how hard it is to recover lost documents.
Upon learning that the offender is a nephew, the victim was mentally depressed and said that if she knew that the crime involved her relative, then she would not go to the police.
At the moment, against a young thief prosecuted under Art. 158 of the Criminal Code (theft), he faces up to five years imprisonment.
