About 30 deputies of the State Duma divorced spouses before submitting income tax return

About 30 members of the State Duma divorced their wives for two months prior to filing tax returns, reports ITAR-TASS , citing a source in the parliament. Official confirmation of this information has not yet been reported. The names of the deputies who have decided to divorce shortly before the filing of returns, is not yet known.
The agency says that the reason for the series of divorces was the desire of some members to hide their income. Under the new legislation, members of parliament are required to report not only on their property and income, but also on the financial status of their wives (husbands), and adult children.
Deputy of the State Duma committee on ethics Andrei Andreyev said that cases of divorce may be fictitious, but it has no data on changes in civil status of deputies in comparison with last year. Andreev said that the answer to this question will be obtained after the commission finishes its work for the control of the reliability of information about the income and assets of deputy.
Income statements of deputies in the past 2012 have been published on the website of the State Duma on Monday, April 15. Soon after publication of the deputy from the "Just Russia" Ilya Ponomarev accused the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vladimir Zhirinovsky in the fictitious divorce as Zhirinovsky does not have to return information about the income and assets of his wife Galina Lebedeva.
