The Cossacks of the Far East will spend 38 million rubles

Measures for implementation of the "Strategy for the Development of State Policy of the Russian Federation in respect of Russian Cossacks 2020" in the Far Eastern regions discussed on a large circle Ussuri Cossack Army Society.

Large circle Ussuri Cossack Army Society held yesterday in Khabarovsk. It was attended by representatives of the Cossack communities from across the Far East, as well as a member of the Presidential Council for the Cossacks, the deputy envoy Sergei Levkov and representatives of the Eastern Military District.

The main items on the agenda was the discussion of measures for implementation of the "Strategy " in regions of the district, between military experience and the Cossacks in the preparation and service of young people in the military, as well as problems of reserve training Cossacks to the civil service.

In particular, it was noted that the Ussuri Cossack Host in the past period of time organizationally strengthened. According to army chieftain Oleg Melnikov, almost all registered Cossacks committed themselves to the bearing of the civil service on the basis of contracts and agreements with the federal bodies of executive power of the Far Eastern regions.

He also added that the analysis of regional and territorial programs found that the authorities pay special attention to regions of the support and development of the Cossacks. Thus, in 2010-2012 the development of the Cossacks in the district as a whole has contributed more than 22 million rubles, and the amount of funding for 2013 - 2016 is about 38 million. At the end of the work of the great circle, it was stressed that the work on the revival of the Cossacks in the Russian Far East is a priority of the authorities.
