Governor of Primorye waiting in Moscow for a story about sports successes edge
Senator Primorye Tatiana Zabolotnaya took part in an expanded meeting of the Federation Council Committee on sotspolitiki. The main issue on the agenda was to discuss the draft of the state program "Development of physical culture and sports", presented by the Minister of Sport Vitaly Mutko.
As noted Mutko, the main tasks of the state program is to ensure the possibility of Russians regularly engage in physical exercise and sports, and increase the competitiveness of Russian sports in the international arena, as well as successful in Russia's largest sporting events.
The draft program are indicators that Russia will come in 2020: double the number of Russians, exercise regularly (40% of the population), increasing capacity sports facilities across the country, an increase of 2.5 times the number of winners of the Olympic Winter Games.
The minister said that with the advent of the program is actually a debate about whether the sport an important industry, affecting the development of the country.
The solution of problems stated in the new government program is not possible without the active participation of the regions - says Tatiana Zabolotnaya. In Primorye state program "Development of physical culture and sports to 2017" as the grand tasks.
"This is the development of mass sports, support sports schools, equal conditions for physical education and sports. State program aims to improve the quality of life for all people, regardless of their age and living standards. Minister Mutko at an enlarged meeting of the Committee invited the governor of Primorye Territory Miklushevsky Vladimir to Moscow to discuss the issues of international sports competitions in Primorye.
